Easy Homemade Ice Cream

This delicious homemade ice cream recipe is so easy that it can be mixed and ready to freeze in less than 10 minutes. Also, there are NO EGGS in the recipe and you can make tons of varieties from this one recipe!

Equipment

  • Ice Cream Freezer

Ingredients

  • 1 box, small instant pudding, flavor of choice IF USING A 1.5 QT COUNTER-TOP ICE CREAM MAKER, CUT EACH INGREDIENT IN HALF.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • milk of your choice if using a 4 qt ice cream freezer, you may need up to 14 cups of milk

Instructions

  • If using a 1.5 qt ice cream maker, half the ingredients of this recipe. If using a 6 qt ice cream maker, use a large box of instant pudding, 1.5 cups of heavy cream, and 1.5- 2 cups of sugar.
  • Begin by mixing the first 5 ingredients with 2 cups of milk until mix thru
  • Pour the above mixture into your ice cream freezer.
  • Add milk to your ice cream freezer's fill line.
  • Be sure to taste your mixture to make sure it is sweet enough to your liking.

Notes

Variations:
*Chocolate- use chocolate instant pudding, you may add 1-2 tbsp cocoa if desired.
 
*Strawberry- add in 2-3 cups of fresh strawberries chopped into small pieces.
 
*Tropical- add crushed pineapple, 1 large banana mashed, toasted coconut & toasted pecans (I prefer my tropical ice cream without the pineapple! =)
 
*Pistachio- use pistachio pudding and add 1 cup of toasted nuts
 
*Cherry Chocolate Chip (Our Favorite)-  vanilla or cheesecake instant pudding, 2 jars of maraschino cherries which cherry juice (chop cherries if desired).  Add 2 cups of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips!
