This delicious buttercream frosting is the perfect addition to a perfectly moist and delicious cake.

1/2cupsalted buttersoftened
3ouncescream cheesesoftened
1poundpowdered sugarapproximately 4 cups
1dashsalt
1tspvanilla extract
1-2 tbsp cream or milkif needed
Instructions
With a hand or stand mixer, cream your butter and cream cheese until soft.
With the mixer going, start to slowly add the powdered sugar.
Continue to mix until well incorporated with the butter before adding more sugar. If you are using a stand mixer, be sure to scrape the side of your bowl down often. Adding too much sugar at one time will cause your frosting to start getting crumbly.
If your frosting starts to get difficult to mix, add 1 tbsp of cream and continue to mix, continue to add cream a tablespoon at a time until everything is well incorporated.
When your frosting is smooth and satiny, add the vanilla and dash of salt, optional.
Notes
This frosting will store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Bring your frosting to room temperature on your counter with a lid over your bowl so no condensation will form on top of your frosting.
